Vinyl

Waffle Grid Mat

This mat is used as a cutting surface and catches tiny pieces of glass to keep your workspace clean!

Glass Cutter

This scores the surface of the glass and when pressure is applied, the glass will break along the score line.

Running Pliers

These pliers have a curved mouth and apply pressure to both sides of a score line to break the glass.

Grozing Pliers

These are used to break off smaller pieces of glass and remove any sharp bits.

Glass Grinder

This step is important for smoothing the edges of the glass and shaping them so they fit together as closely as possible. This also helps the copper foil adhere properly.

Copper Foil

The copper foil is important because without it the solder has nothing to stick to. There are different sizes and backing colors.

Soldering Iron

I use the Hakko FX-601 and I definitely recommend this one as you can control the temperature which is so helpful with getting smooth solder lines.

Solder

I use 60/40 solder from the brand Canfield.

Flux

This is used to clean the copper foil and helps the solder flow smoothly. There is liquid, gel, and paste flux.

Tip Tinner

This is used to clean the soldering iron tip and coats it in a thin layer of metal which helps to melt solder.
